The creation story is a key theme to our Christian heritage and belief system. It lays a foundation that is central to humankind being God’s pinnacle of design, displays God’s handiwork in the six days process of the earth, it combats the theories and ideas of Gnostics, Hermetics and the like, to the origins, author and age of the universe. There are subtle and divisive implications in denying or claiming alternate versions of our creation story; some of which are: Evolution, Poly-theism, Pandeism, Modern-Paganism and many other belief systems that have been interwoven into today’s faith.
